How to go : Located in west Sikkim and 3 km from Jorethang, which is one of the important town in Sikkim to start exploring Sikkim. It is around 120km from #Bagdogra airport and little lesser from NJP station in North Bengal. It is around 85km from Gangtok airport. I would suggest travellers to always inquiry because due to fog take off / landing in Gangtok airports sometimes becomes restricted. Road to Baiguney was alike any other hilly roads but from Jorethang onwards it is bit adventurous. I won’t suggest nightly journey because of fog and unavailability of road side lights. Though I travelled here in night, and the only pros of that I found was the lesser traffic .
Travellers can also visit Darjeeling , Pelling from this place in around 2 hours drive.
Where to stay: We stayed in a pvt property ( probably the only one ) which spreads across acres of land. Cottages or tree houses have luxurious staying experience. Cozy room and service lives upto the mark. The best part I liked here is it’s blending with surrounding nature. English breakfast / spreads in breakfast fulfilled expectation though in such remote place. We asked for local river fishes and they arranged on request.
We experienced a morning rain fall during our stay. Nature opens it’s doors and the lush green magical nature seems to reduce the numbers from our age . It’s definitely mystic.
Night is dark here. Cozy and clear sky gives a vision of starry night. Even in shoulder season of summer the nightly temperatures never sores up much, rather gives a cool weather.
If you are in groups or with family, Baiguney won’t disappoint you surely.
